The Definition of Exhaustion:

Sun Nov 29, 2009, 1:14 PM
Is me. Seriously. Eleven hours straight of walking from store to store, waiting in line, and so on and so forth. Wait, strike that, it was about nine hours twenty minutes. Because there's such a big difference between the two times.

NOT.

On the plus side, it was cool. We went to see the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. THAT was cool. We went to different places and saw different things, and Daisy? Did you know that there's an underground Apple store? We got to go down the elevator and everything--the entrance looks like a big glass box that people walk into and disappear. And then we walked out...we'd only gone to say we'd been in that elevator.

We went to all nine floors of Macy's. That was fun. And then the three floors of the giant Disney Store.

But the cold hard truth of it all is this: cities exhaust me. Especially the big cities, in which there are so many things to see and do. Albany exhausted me, even though we were only there for three days. Waikiki exhausted me. And now I can honestly say that those were nothing in comparison with the eleven hours I spent in New York City. Because of those eleven hours, unlike any other city I have spent time in, I walked for nine hours and twenty minutes straight.

However, I did get a voice in a couple Christmas gifts I'm getting.

 There's a plus side to everything.

Now, if only I could finish NaNo on time....

---UPDATE---

I have officially finished National Novel Writing Month as a winner, a whole day early!
